2027 RULES
At BPM Dance Experience, we’re built differently.
Our rules are designed around today’s dance culture and artistry — Energy, Tempo, and Pulse!
The Art of BPM
-
BASSLINE DIVISION
Track Level: Recreational / Novice
Training under 3 Hours a week
The Vibe: Designed for dancers who are stepping onto the convention scene to build confidence, master core foundations, and discover their personal style. Classes focus on catching the pocket of the music, clean alignment, and the absolute joy of movement without the competitive pressure.
RHYTHM DIVISION
Track Level: Pre-Competitive / Intermediate
Training 3-5 Hours a week
The Vibe: Tailored for the dancer who is stepping up their training and bridging the gap between recreational classes and the competitive stage. The focus here is on developing stamina, picking up choreography accents faster, and understanding how to dance with performance quality and intent.
TEMPO DIVISION
Track Level: Advanced / Competitive
Training 6-15 Hours a week
The Vibe: For the dedicated competitive dancer who lives for the details. The Tempo division pushes technical limits, complex musicality, and fast-paced pick-up groups. Choreographers will push execution, spatial awareness, and the clean artistic lines required for an elite competitive stage.
SONIC DIVISION
Track Level: Elite Competitive Dancer
Training 15+ hours per week
The Vibe: High-velocity training for the hyper-focused dancer. This division is a pressure cooker for growth, utilising intricate choreography, complex rhythm shifts, and industry-level performance standards. It is built specifically to challenge the athletic endurance and mental focus of dancers who practically live in the studio.

Artistry Over Everything
Two weeks prior to the event, each dancer will receive one minute of official choreography to learn and perform live on stage. Dancers will also freestyle live for real-time feedback from our industry specialists. Designed as a professional industry learning tool across all genres, this challenge levels the playing field: everyone learns the same routine, but it’s up to you to show us how you stand out.
